Disorderly conducts directly threaten public peace and safety. Their intensity depends upon the person and the situation. For example, verbal and physically abusive behaviour towards other members of the society, causing intentional disturbance and damage, conducting violent riots, unlawful lodging, disordered behaviour under the influence of alcohol and substances etc. People who behave in such a manner can be arrested by police officers under the law due to creating an unhealthy and violent environment for the public (Bergman, 2016) The law was ruled out by the Supreme court because it violated the 14th amendment due process article. It was believed that the law failed to provide adequate control of the prosecution vigilance of the police.
